San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Diego follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The Balboa Park Botanical Gardens are a peaceful oasis in the heart of San Diego. Beautiful plants, vibrant flowers, and a stunning historic building make it a must-visit. Itβs free, well maintained, and perfect for a relaxing stroll, taking photos, or simply enjoying a quiet escape from the busy park.

A small garden with a variety of plants and a fig tree in Balboa Park. Free to visit. It's best during spring and even in summer when they bloom. The building architecture and the area including the pond in front of it is joy to the occular senses.

Beautiful place and free to visit unless you visit any museum. There are lots of history to see there without spending any money on tickets unless you want to deep dive. There is rose garden and cactus garden once you cross the bridge. There are two parking lots. One has lower fess if you enter and take left, but it's hard to get a spot. Other one on right is bit expensive. Not sure why they did that as the one on right is bit far and expensive.

This is one of my favorite parts of Balboa Park. It is so beautiful from the building itself and the plants inside! It is free to get in the building. I saw lots of people taking photos and I do agree this is a great place to come take any special photos or fun selfies!

Unique place to see a variety of plants. Great place to visit when its a bit hot outside. Plenty of seating available. There are a few volunteers on-site that explain the history of the building as well as about the plants and trees within.
